Corduroy written by Adrian Bell in 1930, the cover illustrated by Clifford Webb, who also illustrated the first two books of the Swallows and Amazons series written by Arthur Ransome.
What a great illustration, very simple but bold. Works for me. Sorry, I thought I had commented on the previous "pink" post. I was overcome by so much pink. I am a "green" girl. Some of the pictures were lovely, just too much pink ;0) Hugs
There are some gorgeous images on this blog. I love the black & white photo of the dog in his car! The pink feathers are stunning too. They make me want to grab every hank of pink yarn or skein of embroidery silk I can lay my hands on, and to make something.
What a fabulous illustration. Love the colours and the simple lines.

And don't you just love the word "Corduroy"? It's always just boring "cord" these days.
